An assembly (10) operates aggregate units (12) such as mixers or submerged pumps (12) within a gas-tight vessel (11), esp. a methane biological gas generator. The aggregates are moved up and down by lifting gear (28) and are secured to a fixed guide (19) under a gas-tight cover (17). A gas-tight passage (38) through the vessel (11) cover (17) facilitates the linkage (39) between lifting gear (28) and aggregates (12). The novelty is that the gas-tight passage (38) is formed by: (a) a non-slip, non-rotating guide link (19), together with a part of the cover (17) of the gas-tight vessel (11) forming a turntable (22), which is arranged coaxial with the guide (19) and which is sealed against the vessel (11), and (b) by a gas-tight unit on the turntable (22), through which the linkage (39) passes.
