The invention concerns the use of silicone waxes for thickening oily substances, these silicone waxes having aliphatic fatty alcohol or acid ester functions of formula -(CH2)n-A-R, wherein <u>n</u> is at least 2, A is an -OCO- or -COO- group and R is a C21-C30 aliphatic group. More particularly the invention concerns the use of silicone waxes having -(CH2)3-O-CO-(CH2)20-CH3 behenate functions directly associated with silicon atoms of the polyorganosiloxane chain. The invention also concerns a process for thickening oily substances by the addition of these waxes. Finally the invention concerns compositions, in particular cosmetic compositions (sun-protection gels, deodorants), comprising the substances thus thickened. |
