High voltage sleeve connector for spark plug of IC engine

A high voltage sleeve connector (7) for the sparkplugs (3) of an IC engine affords an efficient transfer of energy from the HV ignition coil (not shown) to the sparkplug (3) and is easily connected or removed. A central brass electrode (8) from the ignition coil is surrounded by a cylindrical silicone rubber sleeve (7) and makes contact with the sparkplug terminal (3a) via a coiled compression spring (11). A silicone rubber end plug (29) having a bore (29a) to match the insulator stem of the sparkplug fits over the lower periphery (7b) of the sleeve (7) secured by adhesive (10) over a length (L) and the concentric annular cavity (29f) in the end plug ensures a flexible but firm mechanical connection to the external grooves of the insulator.
