Trigger mechanism for compressed-air nailing tool

The trigger mechanism comprises a sliding element (13) which corresponds to and is driven by a feeler (31), whose movement it follows when the nailing tool lies on the part. A lever (11), which is pivotably joined to a trigger (4), has an end that lies on the sliding element in the position of the feeler which prevents nailing. The lever is connected to the lock (2) of a control valve, so that the trigger is not operable whilst the feeler is in the position that prevents nailing. When the sliding element is moved into the unblocking position by the feeler, a partial oscillation of the lever activates the control valve so that upon actuation of the trigger the lock is lifted.
