The bearing block (19) is reinforced by a high-strength cap (20) whose side bar (25) has one or more points (26) to fix the cap to the visible surface of the blind frame and/or casement. The cap has a supporting surface (21) for the circumference of the topmost bearing block and the cap has an assembly bar to run parallel to the bearing block base. The holes provided in the bar (25) should be longitudinally offset from the fixing points forming part of the bearing block. Apart from the hinged part used to line up the block arms, the block has an additional arm for the bearing bolt. In addition to the opening (27) accessibly freeing the interval between the bearing arms, the bar (25) should enclose the bearing block on the viewing side. The cap can have several longitudinally spaced supporting surfaces (21,22,23) round its circumference to bear against the bearing arms, and the cap also contains an inner segment (24) placed between the surfaces (21-23) so as to form a lengthways channel (28) to enclose the bearing bolt where this lies between the bearing arms.
