Partial covering of articles with rigid foam

An article is partially covered with synthetic foam, pref. polyurethane, by introducing the foam material in liq. form into a space bounded by a tool which fits tightly against the surface of the article along one or more lines. The article (1) has grooves (8) along the boundary lines which mate with projections (6) on the tool (7). The tool (7) touches the groove (8) along one or several parallel lines (9). Foaming takes place in the enclosed volume (4) in the conventional manner.
