Charged combustion engine with high pressure stage

The combustion engine has a high pressure stage and a low pressure stage in relation to the high pressure stage. The high and low pressure stages are activated in series via a switch device during low rotation of the engine. The exhaust is guided by the switch device (13) to the highest point of a high pressure turbine (6) and directly led to a low pressure turbine (8) during increased rotation of the engine. The low pressure turbine is formed with two channels. The switch device is connected with both channels of the low pressure turbine via exhaust lines (14,15) in two stage operation with the outlet of the high pressure turbine. After rotation of a valve (12) of the switch device, the high pressure turbine overrides and separates exhaust lines (2,3) of the combustion engine which are connected directly via the exhaust lines with both channels of the low pressure turbine.
