INJECTOR MAINTENANCE

An injector control apparatus for holding low and high impedance injectors open, comprises current control means for limiting the current through any one of the injectors if the current through that injector exceeds a predetermined threshold value, and voltage supply means for supplying each injector with a periodic voltage waveform which generally remains at a base voltage value sufficient to hold either type of injector open once the injector has been opened, and which periodically rises to a peak voltage value for a length of time sufficient to open either type of injector.
