摘要 An industrial resistance welding workcell (40) includes a robot controller (46) and robot (50), a programmable overal workcell control (42) an electrically actuated device (52), an electrically actuated clamp (54) for securing the position of a workpiece. Electrically actuated clamps (54) and electrically actuated device (52) eliminate the need for plant provided compressed air (24) and associated equipment conventionally used with resistance welding workcells. The workcell (40) further includes a self-contained closed loop cooling system mounted under the robot base. Piercing, hemming, and riveting embodiments are also disclosed.
