<p>The drum has a cylindrical inner shell (4) of greater length than the width of the cable rolls (1) which it is made to receive. At least one of two flanges (6,7) is adjustable along the shell w.r.t. the other one. the flanges have a central aperture (9) of greater diameter than the shell. The shell has a series of holes (10) for adjusting the positions of the flanges, with pegs (11) to fix them in the required place. The cable drum shell has a lengthwise groove (14) and can be equipped with an additional intermediate flange to separate two rolls of cable. The drum can be transported by a wheeled trolley with hooks to engage with the ends of the axle of the drum. The inner shell and the flanges can be made of plastics.</p> |
