PURPOSE:To facilitate stepless joint of rails by employing rails having rectangular cross-section for supporting and guiding a self-travel truck and forming plural through paths therein, then inserting guide members into the through paths across the facing ends thereof, when rails are jointed, and securing the guide members to the rails. CONSTITUTION:Rails 1 for supporting and guiding a self-travel truck is formed to have rectangular cross-section and flat upper face for receiving a bearing 2, and a dovetail groove 3 having open lower end is formed at the lower section thereof. Upper and lower through paths 4, 5 having rectangular cross-sections are formed in the rail 1 while a plurality of side dovetail grooves 6A-9A, 6B-9B and flat guide faces 10A, 10B for guide rollers are formed at the opposite side sections of the rail 1. When rails 1, 1 are jointed, facing end sections of the rail 1 are cut obliquely, then guide members 18, 20 are inserted across facing through paths 4, 4 and 5, 5 at the joint and portions of the guide members 18, 20 are secured through securing metals 19, 21 to the rail 1. |
