The device comprises a guide rail (2) fitted to the bottom of the boot. There are also one or more support plates (5) which can be moved in a guide slot (4) at a right angle to the rail. The support plates can turn in the guide slot, and can be raised from a horizontal position parallel to the boot floor to a vertical position, and be locked there. The support plates have connecting elements (7a,7b,7c) to which fixing modules (18) or belt modules (8a,8b) can be fitted to hold the luggage (11,12) or to divide the boot along a second axis.
