Cosmetic and dermatological compsns. consists of oil-in-water emulsion with oily globules having an average dia. below 500 nm and dispersed in the aq. phase. Each oily globule contains at least one cosmetic or dermatologically-active cpd. (I) coated with a mono- or oligo-lamellar liq. crystal layer. The liq. crystal layer is obtd. from: (a) at least one lipophilic surfactant (II), (b) at least one hydrophilic surfactant (III); and (c) at least one ionic amphiphilic lipid (IV) giving to the emulsion a pH of 5.5-7.5.
