<p>The aluminium extrusions have pre-shaped ends (5) to form the corner joints with a shaped insert block to stabilise the fitting. The pre-assembled corner is pressed by two shaped press tools to deform part of the outer extrusion onto the insert. At the same time, shaped punches punch holes into the joint for subsequent injection with bonding compound. The corner is held by a shaped grip during assembly and the single-action press tools provide a rapid and secure joint. The hole punches are secured to the press tools on adjustable mountings and are hollow. This enables the assembler to inject the bonding compound in one process with the stamping.</p> |
