PURPOSE: To obtain the subject therapeutic agent, capable of manifesting extremely strong reducing actions on calcium level in blood by synergistic effects and effective against hypercalcemia especially caused by malignant tumor by using a specific vitamin derivative and bisphosphonates in combination. CONSTITUTION: This medicine contains a compound of formula I and bisphosphonates (preferably an etidronate of formula II, etc.) as active ingredients. An oral agent and a parenteral injection are preferred as the pharmaceutical preparation dosage form. The dose of the compound of formula I administered to a person is preferably 1-20μm and that of the bisphosphonates administered to a person is preferably 0.1-50mg/kg. Furthermore, two active ingredients may be contained in the same pharmaceutical preparation or in separate ones or may further be administered at the same time or staggered times.
