PURPOSE: To make it possible to adhere two sheets of π cells across a color polarizing plate held therebetween by a UV curing type adhesive. CONSTITUTION: The color polarizing plate 33, the π cell 32 and the color polarizing plate 31 are first adhered by tacky adhesive 42, 41. Next, the UV curing type adhesive 51 having the refractive index approximate to the refractive index of glass is dropped onto the color polarizing plate 33 stuck with the πcell 32 and the color polarizing plate 31. Another sheet of the π cell 34 is superposed on the color polarizing plate 33 stuck with the 3p cell 32 and the color polarizing plate 31 and is pressurized uniformly over the entire surface. The UV curing type adhesive 51 is then irradiated with UV rays from the side of the π cell 34 superposed thereon after the adhesive spreads to all the corners and a uniform and thin adhesive layer is formed over the entire surface. Consequently, the sticking of the π cell 34 and the color polarizing plate 33 is made possible. Then, the neutral polarizing plate 35 and the πcell 34 are adhered by the tacky adhesive 44, by which a liquid crystal shutter is completed. |
