PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-size compacting device for compacting hollow, bulky, and inorganic solid urban waste such as plastic bottles, cardboard boxes, cans, and glass bottles and enhancing the efficiency of waste collection at home, in particular collection of classified refuse. SOLUTION: This compacting device has a modular-type structure which may be arbitrarily varied from a minimum structure having at least a motor or hand-operated compacting unit 1 which can be coupled with at least a waste collection and compaction container 2 to more and more complex structures.
