PURPOSE: To provide a preventing method of draw mark on a strip and to provide an device therefor, in which the draw mark developed on the strip can be prevented and the strip having good shape can surely be obtd., at the time of heating the strip by using conductive rolls. CONSTITUTION: At the time of heating the strip 1 by the conductive rolls 2, 3, just before the conductive roll 3 at the downstream side, a divided roll 11 is pushed or held to the strip 1 from either one side of the upper and the lower surfaces so that a vector in the peripheral direction of a roll on the contact surface with the strip has the positive component in the strip passing direction and directs outward in the width direction of the strip. Further, the opening angleθ2 between the vertical direction of the roll axis and the progressing direction of the strip is set larger than the opening angleθ1 between the strip edge part and the progressing direction of the strip, to prevent the draw mark of the strip.
