PURPOSE: To provide a deodorizer capable of collectively removing the odors of amines, mercaptanes, and hydrogen sulfide by containing anα-diketone compound represented by a specified formula as effective component. CONSTITUTION: This deodorizer used in order to collectively remove odors of mercaptanes, hydrogen sulfide, and amines in toilet, kitchen and sewage- treatment plant contains anα-diketone compound represented by the formula as effective component. In the formula, R and R' each represent a hydrogen atom or a linear or branched alkyl group, or R and R' form a cycloalkyl group which may have a branched chain together. Such anα-diketone compound has a structure in which two carbonyl groups are adjacent to each other, and examples thereof include a cycloalkyl diketone in which R and R' form a cycloalkyl group which may be substituted together.
