The unit (5) has devices provided for driving the unit when it comes into contact with the earth. The unit incorporates an endless ground prepn. belt (6) which has extending work tools and is movable in endless track around front and rear turning wheels. The endless belt on preparing an area, with its tools in engagement with the ground, is driven relative to the ground around front and rear turning wheels at higher speed than the vehicle but in the opposite direction. The work tools incorporate a first ripping tool which firstly loosens the material in the ground cover and a second transport tool which moves the loosened material forward. A device is provided which presses only the prepn. unit rear part against the ground, which mainly includes the area for its rear turning wheel. |
