<p>A method for extracting a foamed plastics article out of the mould in which it has been formed, consists of subjecting the foamed article to an external gas pressure sufficient to compress the article so that it can be pulled out of the opening of the mould, the cavity inside the article being ventilated during this operation to permit contained gases to escape. Specif. one end of the article has an extension passing through the mould opening, this is located inside a pressure vessel during the pressurising operation.</p> |
