PURPOSE: To resume carving treatment from an interruption point without deteriorating quality when power is restored after power failure is generated during the production of a printing plate by a gravure carving system. CONSTITUTION: An uninterruptible power supply device 28 is connected to a carving treatment apparatus and, at a time of power failure, a blank line detection part 22 detects the nearest blank line on the basis of the detection of power filure by a power failure detection part 26 under the supply of power from the backup power supply in the uninterruptible power supply device 28 and a carving machine controller 21 continues carving up to the blank line before stops carving. When power is restored, carving is resumed but, when it is detected that the voltage of the backup power supply drops by a definite value during the stop of carving by a voltage drop detection part 24, an output unit controller 31 receives carving resuming data such as the data of a caving stop position from the carving machine controller 21 to store the same in an external memory device 32. |
