PURPOSE: To provide a thin type vibrating gyro by polarizing two adjacent piezoelectric elements in the reverse direction with each other. CONSTITUTION: This vibrating gyro comprises a disklike vibrator 12 which is formed by a constant elastic metal material or the like. On one main surface of the vibrator 12, there are provided with, for example, four pieces of sector- form piezoelectric elements 14a, 14b, 14c and 14d so as to cover the main surface. These piezoelectric elements 14a to 14d comprise respective piezoelectric body substrates 16a to 16d. A direction, where the piezoelectric body substrates 16a and 16c are polarized, and another direction where these substrates 16b and 16d are polarized, are made in the reverse direction with each other. Likewise on one side main surface of these substrates 16a to 16d, there are provided with four electrodes 18a to 18d, and eight split electrodes 20a to 20h are formed on the other side main surface as well. |
