PURPOSE: To provide a light emission controller capable of appropriately executing exposure even when an object having extremely high reflectance or extremely low reflectance exists at a part of a subject within a photographic picture frame in the case of photographing with strobe light. CONSTITUTION: This controller is provided with plural strobe light emitting tubes 19 and 33; a photometry sensor unit 12 receiving the light of field; a film sensitivity information input circuit 14; a distance code disk 23 for inputting photographic distance information; and a CPU 11 calculating diaphragm information and shutter speed information based on the luminance of the subject and film sensitivity and setting the appropriate emitted light quantity of a stroboscope. The CPU 11 sets the time when the light emission by plural stroboscopes is maintained on the basis of an appropriate guide number and a synthetic guide number, and allows the respective stroboscopes to emit the light thereafter. When the detection output of a comparator is all outputted before the set time elapses, the CPU 11 stops the light emission by all the stroboscopes when the set time elapses. |
