PURPOSE: To certainly supply ink from an ink cartridge or an ink tank to a recording head by allowing a recording head main body to communicate with the ink tank through an ink supply passage and fixing the same to a holder having an edge part formed thereto by an adhesive. CONSTITUTION: The recessed part 52 almost coinciding with the outer periphery of a recording head main body 12 is formed to the rear surface of a head holder 10 and connection ports 50 are provided to the positions opposed to ink supply ports 27a, 27b, 27c, 27d, 27e, 27f. Edge parts 50a, 50b protruding from the bottom surface 10a of the recessed part 52 by about 40μm and having a width of about 150μm are formed to the peripheries of the connection ports 50 so as to become slightly outside from the inner peripheral surfaces 11a of ink passages 11. A space 53 for absorbing an adhesive is formed to the inner periphery of each of the connection ports 50 and a gap 54 housing the adhesive is ensured on the other side.
