摘要 PURPOSE: To improve the dispersed state of a slurry to be used in spray-drying, the efficiency of the granulation work and the strength of the formed article by using a specific polyacrylic polymer as a main component of an organic binder. CONSTITUTION: The formed oxide-based ceramic article having high strength is produced by incorporating 100 pts.wt. of powdery alumina raw material having an average particle diameter of 1μm with 3.0 pts.wt. each of polyacrylic polymer having a structure of formula III [R is Cp H2p+1 ((p) is 3-5)], i.e., formula I or formula II as an organic binder and optionally with 0.5 pts.wt. of a dispersing agent, adding water to the mixture to obtain an alumina slurry having a powder concentration of about 60%, spray-drying the slurry with a spray drier to obtain spherical granulated powder having particle diameter of about 60μm and forming the powder by a dry compression molding process such as CIP.
