PURPOSE: To keep the eye level of an observer low by guiding a luminous flux from an objective lens toward an ocular by the use of a reflecting mirror after turning it downward by the use of a prism. CONSTITUTION: The luminous flux from a sample 1 is condensed by the objective lens 2a so as to perform infinity correction. The luminous flux from the objective lenses 2a and 2b is reflected three times in an M-shape on the inner surface of the transmitting and reflecting prism 3, and turned in parallel with the optical axis of the lenses 2a and 2b and in an opposite direction thereto. After the luminous flux projected from the prism 3 is transmitted through a 1st relay lens 4a, it is reflected by the reflecting mirror 5 and reaches the barrel part 6 of binoculars. In the barrel part 6, the luminous flux is transmitted through a 2nd relay lens 4b, made incident on a prism 7 for binocular division, and formed as a binocular part enlarged image 8 after its optical path is bisected by the prism 7. Then, it is enlarged further by the ocular 9 and observed by the naked eye 10. |
