<p>PURPOSE: To provide a liquid crystal display device which is suppressed in the increase in resistance value without complicating the production despite of the prolonged length and narrowed width of wiring electrodes. CONSTITUTION: The wiring electrodes 12 having lower layer parts 12a and upper layer parts 12b are formed on a glass substrate 11. Nonlinear resistance elements 15 consisting of lower electrodes 13, insulators 14 and upper electrodes 12d are formed. Pixel display transparent electrodes 16 connected to the lower electrodes 13 are formed. Nonlinear resistance elements 19 consisting of lower electrodes 17 insulators 18 and upper electrodes 16a are formed. The nonlinear resistance elements 15, 19 are reverse in polarities. An array substrate 21 is formed by the glass substrate 11 formed with the wiring electrodes 12, the nonlinear resistance elements 15, 19 and the pixel display transparent electrodes 16, etc. A counter substrate 24 is formed by forming counter electrodes 23 in a stripe form on a glass substrate 22. The array substrate 21 and the counter substrate 24 are respectively subjected to orientation treatments and a liquid crystal compsn. 25 is enclosed and held into and between these substrates, by which a liquid crystal cell 26 is formed.</p> |
