<p>A solvent composition for removing acid gaseous impurities from a gas stream, said composition comprising diethylene glycol dimethyl ether, triethylene glycol dimethyl ether, tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether, pentaethylene glycol dimethyl ether and hexaethylene glycol dimethyl ether, wherein
the tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether is present in an amount of from 1% to 50% by weight,
triethylene glycol dimethyl ether pentaethylene glycol dimethyl ether and hexaethylene glycol dimethyl ether are present in an amount of 15% by weight or less, and
triethylene glycol dimethyl ether is present in an amount of 2% by weight or less.</p> |
