PURPOSE: To enable a working device, provided at an articulated robot, to move with high repeated positioning accuracy in a wide range and at high speed. CONSTITUTION: A robot device has a pair of X-axis guides disposed parallelly, a pair of Y-axis guides disposed parallelly in a right-angled direction to the X-axis guides, X-axis moving shafts 16a,16b disposed parallel to the X-axis guides and movable along the Y-axis guides, and Y-axis moving shafts 18a, 18b disposed parallel to the Y-axis guides and movable along the X-axis guides. This robot device is provided with a moving body 20 movable on the X-axis moving shafts 16a, 16b and the Y-axis moving shafts 18a, 18b in an X-axis direction and a Y-axis direction, drive mechanism for moving the X-axis moving shafts 16a, 16b, drive mechanism for moving the Y-axis moving shafts 18a, 18b, and an articulated robot 24 fixed to the moving body 20 and provided with rotating arm function and turning function. |
