PURPOSE: To make the waveform of an input current closer to a sine wave by preventing the appearance of a capacitor input type waveform. CONSTITUTION: A resonance circuit 2 composed of an inductor and a capacitor C1 is connected to an AC power source 1. A feedback winding n3 through which the high-frequency AC voltage of an inverter circuit 3 is fed back is connected in series with the capacitor C1 . A power supply voltage upon which the resonance voltage of the circuit 2 is superposed charges a smoothing capacitor C0 after the voltage is full-wave rectified by means of a diode bridge DB. The circuit 3 converts DC power supplied from the capacitor C0 after smoothing the power into high-frequency AC power and supplies the AC power to a load 4 through an output transformer T1 . Since the ratio of the peak value of the voltage across the capacitor C0 to that of the AC power supply voltage is set at >=1.02, the waveform of the input current can be made closer to a sine wave by preventing the appearance of a capacitor input type waveform. |
