PURPOSE: To provide an inference knowledge extracting device which is capable of adapting to the change of input/output data. CONSTITUTION: In a fuzzy rule individual group storage part 6, the group of individuals having the gene column which is made to correspond to the fuzzy rule of a fuzzy rule storage part 3 by a fuzzy rule gene correspondence part 5 is stored. A fuzzy rule individual selection part 8 selects the individual with few output error for input/output data at random, based on the adaptive degree calculation result by an individual adaptive degree calculation part 7. A fuzzy rule individual gene operation part 9 performs a gene operation for the individual selected by the individual adaptive degree calculation part 7. A fuzzy rule extraction part 4 controls the fuzzy rule gene correspondence part 5, the individual adaptive degree calculation part 7, the fuzzy rule individual selection part 8, the fuzzy rule individual gene operation part 9 and a rule weighing determination part 10, performs an evolution adaptive processing and extracts the fuzzy rule which is evolved from and is adapted to the change of input/output data.
