In conventional conveyor systems with a conveyor arrangement that is supplied by several supply conveyors along the direction of conveying, problems develop in the accommodation of material supplied downstream since insufficient conveying capacity is provided in the conveyor arrangement. It is proposed to design the conveyor arrangement (44) as a conveyor (45) that is subdivided into several sections (52, 54) and which is provided with differing conveying capacities in the individual sections (52, 54) which, for example, can be made possible by a change in the diameter of the support tubes (56, 56') of the conveyor (45).
