PURPOSE: To obtain a solid electrolyte having a laminated structure made up of a dense proton-conductive solid electrolyte film and an oxygen ion-conductive oxide solid electrolyte film. CONSTITUTION: An oxygen ion-conductive oxide solid electrolyte having a fluorite-type structure (stabilized zirconia film 2) is coated with a material selected from among alkaline earth metal oxyacid salts, organic acid salts and organometallic compounds followed by heating to >=800 deg.C in an oxidative atmosphere to effect sintering and accomplishing diffusive reaction of the alkaline earth metal with the oxygen ion-conductive oxide solid electrolyte, thus depositing a proton-conductive solid electrolyte having perovskite-type crystal structure (SrZrO3 film 1). Thereby, the objective ion junction-contg. solid electrolyte consisting of a laminated film made up of the stabilized zirconia film 2 and the SrZrO3 film 1. |
