PURPOSE: To solve the problem of nonuniformity of quality due to the skill of a worker by automatizing the manual white balance inspection of a video camera. CONSTITUTION: This device consists of a white chart 2, a video signal digitizer 3, a computing element 4, specification value memory 5, a comparison unit 6, a setter 7, a light source 8, a display 9 and a controller 10. A video signal is decoded to R, G and B, and it is written of frame memory, and R, G and B data are obtained, and the amplitude and phase angle of a chrominance signal are found by computing from the R, G and B data, and a luminescent point similar to a vector scope is plotted on the display 9 from a computed result. The automatic mode inspection of white balance, the mock mode inspection of a white balance adjusting function, and the confirmation inspection of the pull-in operation of the white balance adjusting function in an automatic mode are performed. The acception or rejection of each inspection is automatically judged by comparing a judged specification value set in advance with the calculated result for the amplitude and phase angle of the chrominance signal in each inspection. |
