PURPOSE: To provide a travel speed change gear capable of performing the smooth speed change operations even in a constitution for receiving and regulating a speed change operating tool at a position corresponding to the travel neutral state. CONSTITUTION: This travel speed change gear is obtained by installing a speed change operating tool 30, mechanically linked to an operated part 14 of an infinite variable-speed device 10 for traveling a car body and capable of freely performing artificial operations in the normal and reverse directions, a regulating part for receiving and regulating the speed change operating tool 30 at a position corresponding to the travel neutral state in decelerating and operating the speed change operating tool 30 to the travel neutral state and a controller capable of controlling the operations of an electric motor 33 for operating the operated part 14 based on whether or not the speed change operating tool 30 is in an operating state thereof artificially operated and the results sensed with a sensing means 40 for the operating state capable of sensing the operating direction of the speed change operating tool 30. The travel speed change gear is further capable of stopping the operations of the electric motor 33 when an inoperative state of the speed change operating tool 30 is sensed and the sensed state continues for the set time without keeping the speed change operating tool 30 in the travel neutral state or a state close thereto and stopping the operations of the electric motor 33 in a shorter time than the set time when the inoperative state is sensed in the neutral state or a state close thereto. |
