发明名称 OPTICAL SENSOR FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL MDIUM RECORDING
摘要 PURPOSE: To make it possible to execute image recording with recording characteristics meeting purposes by specifying the value of a base current when a specific voltage is impressed on an optical sensor to a specific vague. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal recording medium 20 successively formed with transparent electrodes 22 and a high polymer-liquid crystal composite layer 23 on a transparent base 21 and the optical sensor 10 successively laminated with transparent electrodes 12 and a photoconductive layer 13 on a transparent support-base 11 are arranged to face each other via an air gap. The optical sensor 10 is subjected to image exposing in the state of impressing the voltage between both electrodes. The electric field acting on liquid crystals changes according to the exposing light intensity and the liquid crystals are oriented according to the electric field. The image information meeting the exposing light intensity is thus recorded. The base current at the time of impressing 100V on the optical sensor 10 is specified to 1×10<-7> to 2×10<-5> A/cm<2> . The optical sensor current of the exposed parts when impressed with the voltage under such a condition under which the optical sensor current of the unexposed parts attains 2×10<-6> to 4×10<-6> A/cm<2> is preferably 0.5×10<-6> to 1.5×10<-6> A/cm<2> .
