An assembly station has at least two skewers (4,5) mounted on a positioner (1) to make doner kebabs from meat in the form of slices (23) and minced meat (24). One device (6) applies the slices of meat, and another device (7) distributes the mince. The positioner transfers the skewers between a station for applying slices (23) and a station for applying mince (24). Pref. the device has a rotating table with two or more vertical skewers (4,5) set 180 [deg] apart, about the rotation axis (2). The distributor (7) has one or more height-adjustable spreading nozzles (9), connected by means of a flexible tube (10) to a feeder screw. A drive (14) turns the skewer (5) with the doner ADVANTAGE : There is a marked increase in productivity, accompanied by better quality, and improved hygiene. Even pressure can be applied to consolidate the doner, compressing and equalising the distribution of the mince. The applied pressure can be adjusted to reduce the loading of the lower layers of meat, as the height grows. A high level of automation is feasible. |
