FIELD: electric metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves performing activating treatment of titanium wastes such as metal scrap, cuttings, chips for 90-120 min; heating ingot mold with charge to temperature ranging from 300 to 350 C; filling ingot mold with melt having chemical composition similar to that of base; introducing 0.001-0.005% by weight of surfactant such as boron, with ingot mold charging density ranging from 40 to 70%. EFFECT: increased efficiency in producing ingots slabs, wider operational capabilities and enhanced reliability in operation. |
