摘要 |
FIELD: arc welding; helium-shielded arc welding of medium and higher thickness titanium alloy parts. SUBSTANCE: in final period of welding when electrode is lifted in initial position gas mixture is supplied through torch nozzle. Gas mixture consists of plasma forming and shielding gases. Higher quality of titanium alloy weld joints is provided owing to elimination of pneumatic impact at the moment when plasma forming gas is replaced by shielding gas and air is sucked by torch nozzle. EFFECT: enhanced quality of weld joint, no necessity to remove oxide layer from surfaces of electrode and weld. |
