The conical portion of insert 1 is interposed between the insert of the housing of turbine 3 and end faces of vane nozzle diaphragm 6. The end faces of diaphragm 6 are provided with a conical chamfering that allows the height of vanes 7 to be decreased in the direction to the shaft of turbine wheel 8. Under the action of gas heat at low loads the conical portion of insert 1 is in "a" position and at high loads the portion is in "b" position. Every time an equilibrium between the extent of deformation of insert 1 and gas temperature upstream of the turbine is established.
