All the above mentioned component are series-connected to the scanning unit. Signals from the pattern register are to the second input of the cartographic object register and, via the identifier computer, to its third input, whose first input receives signals from the contour detection and coding unit. The so formed digital model is compared in the storage unit with the known cartographic objects and then presented in the form of a cartographic image in the digital-chart model display unit.
