FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method for production of iron in converter containing initial melt or iron introduced into which during production phase, at least, fuel, oxygen-containing gases and iron-containing raw materials. Reaction gases are afterburnt with oxidizing gases in gas space of converter above melt and produced heat is transferred to iron bath. A part of iron melt is discharged after production phase and next initial melt remains in converter for the next production phase. In this case, the mass of initial iron melt amounts from 10 to 60% of the mass of iron melt present in converter after production phase, and before a part of iron melt is discharged. Iron-containing raw materials are supplied to iron melt continuously through gas space of the converter during production phase, during the same time when oxygen-containing gases have not above 50% of oxygen are continuously supplied to the melt surface. EFFECT: higher efficiency. |
