The suggested packing material, with distinguished insulating and sealing properties, contains a base layer (11) made of plastic and filler materials mixed with plastic, an insulating layer (12) on one side of the base layer made out of the same type of plastic as the base layer, however mixed with another type of plastic different from that of the base layer. To enhance the sealing property of this material, the introduction of a conducting material into the insulating layer (12) is suggested, preferably tar, which in a fine-grained form is evenly scattered throughout the insulating layer. With the help of the layer made out of conducting material, the above-mentioned laminar packing material can be tightened by means of high-frequency heating and dielectric sealing.<IMAGE>
