This invention relates to the furniture industry. It can be used in transformable furniture manufacturing in order to extend the application and capabilities of the transformation mechanism, e.g. solidity etc., or simplify the construction of this mechanism.The transformation mechanism includes a sliding frame, onto which the upholstered piece is placed, a supporting frame, and a flat lever-hinged mechanism. The flat lever-hinged mechanism consists of two articulated mechanisms, of which one is a four-link mechanism whose main element is attached to the sliding frame, while the driving link is joined by a hinge with the first frame-type base. It is suggested to provide the lever-hinged mechanism with another four-link mechanism, whose main link is attached to the frontal frame-type base. While using a two-armed lever, the driving link is joined with a hinge with the rear frame-type base and with the intermediate link that joins both frame-type bases. In addition, the left and right lever-hinged mechanisms are tightly joined together with the frame-type bases and the overlap. The proposed mechanism for the sofa case is shown in Fig.1.<IMAGE>
