FIELD: radar engineering. SUBSTANCE: doppler radar module has active receiving and transmitting antennas in the form of two rectangular metal plates mounted on insulating substrate that insulates them from metal screen. Connected to radiating end of transmitter antenna is collector of bipolar transistor whose base is connected to metal screen. Mixing diode is connected to receiving end of receiver antenna; end opposing receiving one is shorted out over entire length through metal screen. Receiver antenna length equals λ/4, where λis wavelength in insulation. Module is most effective when used in frequency band of 0.5-2 GHz. EFFECT: improved efficiency, that is, transmitter antenna range and receiver antenna sensitivity due to dispensing with antenna feeders and using only one end of receiving antenna to receive echo signals; reduced size. |
