METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE OF PARTING-OFF TOOL

FIELD: mechanical engineering; manufacture of cutting tools by surfacing. SUBSTANCE: proposed method provides surfacing of common groove with high-speed steel. Groove is formed by two working portions of cutting tool prepared preliminarily. These portions are installed with slots to be surfaced opposite to each other together with side forming plates. Then thermal treatment of applied metal is carried out. Working portions of cutting tools are separated and connected with holders by welding. EFFECT: enhanced quality of parting-off tools. 5 dwg
