PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable starting of a counter-electromotive force rectifying brushless motor which is, not accompanied by initial reverse rotation, without necessitating special additional devices. SOLUTION: This method comprises a step of discriminating a standstill position 22 of a storage medium 20, a step of mapping the standstill position 22 of the storage medium 20 into a sequence of drive for a motor and a step of driving the motor by using the sequence of drive of the motor. A magnetized pattern 23 is present on the standstill position 22 characteristic of the magnetic medium 20. A reading head is designed so as to stop on the standstill position 22 at the time, when the magnetic medium 20 is not rotated by the motor. It reads the magnetized pattern 23 in the standstill, and an electronic circuit conducts mapping in response to reading. |
