PURPOSE: To provide an automatic accompaniment device of an electronic musical instrument in which automatic accompaniment patterns, that are suitable to the taste of user, are easily made and executed. CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with a pattern memory 17 which stores the pattern data of plural rhythms each of that is constituted by plural parts, a part selecting means 14 which selects an editing part, a display 14 which displays rhythm names that are suitable for the rhythm of a part, a rhythm name selecting means 14 which selects a desired rhythm name from the displayed rhythm names, a rhythm number generating means 11 which generates the rhythm number corresponding to a rhythm name, a rhythm number storage means 12 which stores the part rhythm number of the selected part as a part rhythm number and musical sound generating means 10, 18 to 20 which successively read the pattern data of each part from the pattern memory based on each part rhythm number in the means 12 and generate accompaniment sounds. |
