<p>A device for treatment of the air present in a room, comprising a closed body 1 having at least one inlet mouth 2 for the air to be purified and one exit 3 for the purified air, there being provided in said body first means 5 of moving the air from the inlet mouth to the exit, first means of filtering 4, 13 able to remove particulates in general from the air, such as powders, pollen, odours, smoke, incompletely burned hydrocarbons. Downstream from said first filtering means 4, 6 there is provided a chamber 7 comprising ozone generating means 11 able to purify and sterilise the air, said chamber being connected, at its outlet 9, to second filtering means 13, able to deozonise the air exiting from said body 1.
